Due to factors beyond our control which will impact the overall event quality, it is with extreme regret that the Downtown Excelsior Partnership issues a cancellation notice of the “Downtown Excelsior Springs Irish Festival” scheduled on Saturday, March 17th, 2018. After careful consideration of many factors effecting the overall event it was determined it would be best to cancel this event.
DEP and ESPR continuously strive to deliver great event experiences to all of our residents, visitors, corporate and community partners. This decision was not taken lightly. After carefully reviewing the number of pre-registered parade entries, vendors and basketball teams, it was concluded that we could not create the type of festival experience that would meet our standards and measure up to our reputation for producing quality events in Downtown Excelsior Springs. We would have not fulfilled our commitment to Downtown Excelsior Springs, our local residents, and visitors to our community.
All pre-registered parade entries, vendors and basketball teams will be receiving a 100% refund or given the option to participate in future Downtown Excelsior Springs events. Thank you to those who expressed interest in this event, and an additional nod of appreciation to those of you who did register.
DEP encourages all residents and visitors to come Downtown on March 17th and enjoy all of the Irish specials and favorites being offered at many of our Downtown establishments.
