4th Annual Mardi Gras & Irish Festival

The Downtown Excelsior Partnership (DEP) will host the 4th Annual Mardi Gras & Irish Festival on Saturday, March 11th in Downtown Excelsior Springs.  The event will include kids activities and a parade.  The kids activities will take place from NOON to 4:00 pm in the parking lot located at Broadway and Elizabeth Streets and the parade will commence at 2:00 pm.
DEP is currently seeking parade entries for this year’s event.  The parade entry form can be accessed on the Visit Excelsior Tourism website at http://visitexcelsior.com/mardigras.html.  The cost for parade entries is $15 and due by March 1st.  To encourage creativity and floats DEP will be awarding the first, second and third place winners with cash prizes of $100, $50 and $25.
The kids activities are being hosted by Talented Tots.  These activities will include bounce houses, face painting, yard games and more.  All day passes to the area will be available for purchase the day of the event.  Those passes will be $10 per child.
