Come one, come all and enjoy trick or treating in Downtown Excelsior Springs with our amazing eateries, drinkeries, shops, boutiques and galleries!

Children are treated from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on the streets of Downtown Excelsior Springs! Beforehand at 2:00pm, everyone is invited for the Bill Payne Costume Contest in the Hall of Waters Circle Drive. They will have hot dogs, chips, drink, and candy after at the American Legion.

This tradition was begun by one of Excelsior Springs’ most beloved police chiefs, Bill Payne. He found a way to make Halloween safe and enjoyable for kids of all ages, keeping everyone busy so there was no time for “Tricks”! The tradition continues with pride today! Come join us to celebrate Halloween in Downtown Excelsior Springs!
