Do I Need A Ticket To Attend The Event?

If you want to sample chocolate at the event, yes, you will need a ticket for the event. However, if you have friends or family coming who don’t want to sample chocolate, visiting our downtown eateries, drinkeries, shops and boutiques is always free.

11:00 AM Start Time. 5:00 PM End Time.


Can I Purchase A Ticket To The Chocolate Tour On The Day Of The Event?

Unfortunately, no. This event has a limited capacity of 400 attendees and sold out within 30 hours of tickets going on sale.


Can I Use My Eventbrite Digital Receipt As A Ticket?

In short, no. You will only receive chocolate samples and treats if you have an official Chocolate Tour Event Badge. You will pick these up the day of the event at the official event check-in at the Hall of Waters Visitor Center, located at 201 E. Broadway, Excelsior Springs, Missouri 64024.


Do Attendees Need To Be 21 Years Of Age?

No, this event is open to attendees of all ages. However, many establishments will likely be serving alcohol-oriented sweets and treats. They will be checking IDs and only individuals of at least 21 years of age will be able to enjoy the samples at these participating locations.

How Much Walking Is Involved?

Everything is downtown, but the trolley is available, too. If you’re planning to be on foot, expect to walk roughly 1.2 miles.


What Happens If It Rains Or Snows?

Bundle up and wear your warmest stretchy pants – our chocolate doesn’t care if it’s raining or snowing! It’s not going to eat itself.


How Much Chocolate Will I Eat?

You will receive 1 sample at each participating location. So, eat as much as you want! In case you get full, or need a break, we will provide you a bag to put your extra samples and treats in.


Where Should I Park For The Event?

Downtown parking lots and side street parking are the first two options you should seek! If the side streets and lots on Broadway fill up before you arrive, head to S. Main Street, Marietta Street, Spring Street, South Street, or Thompson Avenue.


What Happens If I Purchased Tickets Now I Can’t Come?

All ticket sales are final, but you can “regift” your ticket. To do this, edit your order information to put your ticket under someone else’s name and email address. They can accept the ticket via email. Use this link for more information on how to “regift” your ticket.


What If I Lose My Event Badge?

Hold on tight to that event badge! Without it, you won’t be able to enjoy all the chocolate samples. We’ve made it a bit easier to keep track of by adding it to a lanyard.


Does Each Location Need To Sign My Badge?

If you want to be eligible for the giveaways, YES, you will need to get your badge signed at each location.


How Do We Enter Into The Raffle For The Prizes?

Easy! Visit at least 85% of the participating locations (26 stops), then return your ticket to the Hall of Waters. The drawing will take place at approximately 5:30 PM and you must be present to win!


Do I Vote For My Favorite Chocolate?

Yes! At the end of the tour, you will vote for your favorite chocolate sample/treat, by writing down the business location you received it. We’re giving out cash prizes to our top 3 Chocolate Tour Stops!
