Road Closure Information

Parking notices will be issued by the Excelsior Springs Police Department this week. They will begin ensuring the parade route is clear of vehicles between 4:15 and 4:30 PM on Saturday November 18th. If you are able to assist them with this to your patrons, it would be greatly appreciated. They will do a final check of the route shortly after 5:00 PM that day to ensure all vehicles are off the street at that time. Officers will be at their post by 5:30 PM and there will be a full route shut down no later than 5:45 PM. The closures will slowly reopen at the conclusion of the Lighted Parade.

For safety purposes, all vehicles must be removed from the streets of Broadway and Thompson during the parade. The Police Department will tow vehicles if they are unable to locate a vehicle owner and that is the LAST THING I want to happen to anyone who is downtown enjoying the celebrations with us, so again, any help you can provide to us, and the Police Department would be greatly appreciate.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank You!

I’m really looking forward to kicking of the Christmas Season with everyone this Saturday!
