DEP Receives $1,388 Grant for Mug Shots
The Downtown Excelsior Partnership (DEP), an organization leading the grassroots effort to revitalization in Downtown Excelsior Springs, received a grant on August 8, 2017 in the amount of $1,388. The grant has been endowed by the Missouri Art Council for the purpose of showcasing the arts during DEP’s upcoming Mug Shots progressive beer taste throughout the businesses of Downtown Excelsior Springs.
The goal of this event is to bring individuals to the shops of Downtown Excelsior Springs while showing the community as an arts district. This grant will allow for DEP to include multiple artists and musicians into this newly renovated event. The Brody Buster Band will be performing live blues & jazz music in the Carolyn Schutte Pocket Park from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. In addition to this music performance you will see local area artists and musicians performing in the streets of downtown throughout the tasting tour. Specifically, we will have live art performances by local artist Molly Roberts, as well as local photographer and musician Kevin Morgan. Stayed tuned, we will be releasing more live art performances throughout the month.
DEP hopes you will join them in this art filled fun progressive craft beer tasting event. The event will take place on September 9th from NOON to 5:00 with music and art performances occurring until 7:00 pm. For more information on this event or to purchase your tickets today you can click here.
