Irish Festival in Downtown Excelsior Springs on Saint Patrick’s Day
It’s that time of year again where DEP is gearing up for the annual Irish Festival in Downtown Excelsior Springs! In previous years this event has been hosted on the same day as the Snake Saturday Parade in NKC. You spoke, we’ve listened! We have altered the date for 2018 and it is happening on March 17th! We are ready for some Irish fun on Saint Patrick’s Day here in Downtown! Our DEP Promotion Committee is always volunteering countless hours to create an environment downtown that is fun and enjoyable for everyone! However, with this event, they just can’t do it alone, they need YOU and YOUR support!
We all know it takes a community effort to make a change and create something really good, right? Well here is your chance for you and your group, organization, family or friends to get involved and help us out. This event allows so many options, make sure to check them out below!
The Parade
A parade is suppose to showcase our community in a fun and exciting way! This is also a great opportunity to showcase your business or simply have fun with friends and family creating the BEST Irish Festival float we’ve ever seen! It’s only $15 to enter the parade and judges will rate all entries and the winning entries receive cash prizes! Deadline for parade entries is Friday, March 9th! Vendors
New this year, we’ve added vendors to the event! Vendor spaces are $30 and are on a first come first serve basis. We only allow 1 distributor from each company so sign up now or check with us before you make payment. Here’s a link to the application and payment can also be found online.

3v3 Street Basketball Tournament
What better way to enjoy some Saint Patrick’s fun than to get a group of friends together for a 3v3 basketball tournament?! DEP has partnered with the Excelsior Springs Parks and Recreation Department to host our first ever tournament. Teams consists of 4 players and the cost per team is $40.
