Premier Partner Nomination – Morgansites!

The Downtown Excelsior Partnership, Inc. and the businesses of Excelsior Springs were beyond fortunate to have partners like Morgansites during the COVID-19 Pandemic.  During the second week of March in 2020 our downtown district’s world was turned upside down with no certainty for the future.  While much was unknown, it was abundantly clear that an online presence was of utmost importance, more than ever before.

With 20 years of experience in helping area businesses get online, Morgansites had the technological resources needed for small businesses to transition to an online presence, especially during the emergency shutdown period.  They made a split-second decision to offer free websites with online e-commerce not only to businesses located in Downtown Excelsior Springs, but also in the surrounding communities of Kearney, Lawson, Raytown and Richmond.  Any business negatively impacted by the pandemic was invited to take advantage of this generous opportunity, which included a free professionally built six-page e-commerce website at no cost for six months.  Each website featured a home page, an about us/contact page, an online shop, a customer account dashboard, a shopping cart and a blog page.  The $1,500 to $3,000 estimated cost of each website build out was donated by Morgansites.

The Morgan’s seizes this effective opportunity to provide small businesses with a realistic path to maintaining their revenue steam.  We, at the Downtown Excelsior Partnership, Inc. strongly supported this powerful tool for our downtown businesses throughout the shutdown and reopening phases.  While many of our businesses already had an online presence using social media, very few had well maintained websites or e-commerce add-ons to support sales while their doors were closed.  The Morgan’s understood the negative impact business closures would have on the local economy and wanted to provide this opportunity to prevent loss of revenue and business closures as the emergency shutdowns ensued.  This effort was genuinely focused on helping mom-and-pop businesses stay afloat in troubling times.

Over fifteen businesses took advantage of this once in a lifetime offer and saw the direct benefits of online revenue streams throughout the emergency shutdown.  Moreover, our businesses have continued to benefit from diversified revenue streams through reopening and recovery. Morgansites’ service provided an opportunity for businesses to survive a time of uncertainty with the scare of having to shutdown permanently.

The Morgans continue to offer a variety of services to our businesses within the community, which include website design and hosting, SEO and analytics, branding and logo design, online marketing, photography, videography, e-commerce, and direct email marketing at affordable costs for small businesses.  We in Downtown Excelsior Springs are extremely fortunate to work with this family ourselves through the use of our www.VisitExcelsior.com website, which focuses on attracting traffic to our businesses.

We strongly believe that Morgansites is deserving of the Premier Partner Award not only for its Small Business Recovery Plan, but in recognition of the work and dedication it contributes to the entire community every day.
