Sippin’ Into Springtime Was A Success for Downtown Excelsior Springs

The Downtown Excelsior Partnership, Inc. is thrilled to announce the remarkable success of the Sippin’ Into Springtime event held on March 23rd, which not only brought unparalleled vibrancy and economic boost to the heart of the community, but also served as a vital fundraiser for the organization. This year’s event saw an impress sellout crowd, who spent an average of 138 minutes exploring the 22 participating small businesses of Downtown Excelsior Springs.

Lyndsey Baxter, the Executive Director of the Downtown Excelsior Partnership, Inc., shared her excitement about the event’s success and its impact, stating, “The incredible turnout and positive feedback from Sippin’ Into Springtime not only reflects the community’s love for this event, but also for our downtown small businesses. We are thrilled to announce that this event raised $7,600 for our organization, funds that will directly contribute to our ongoing efforts to revitalize and enrich our downtown. Seeing people from near and far come together to support this cause is truly heartwarming.”

The economic impact of Sippin’ Into Springtime was substantial, with an estimated $34,759.02 injected into the local economy, reflecting the event’s power to stimulate downtown businesses and services. The event attracted a diverse audience, with attendees coming from 80 different zip codes, including 22 zip codes from outside Missouri, illustrating its growing reputation as a must-visit event in Downtown Excelsior Springs.

Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with 90% of the participants rating the event as excellent or good. The structure of the event received high marks, with 94% of attendees appreciating the amount of stops available, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the downtown experience. The wine sampling selections were also a hit, with 86% of participants expressing satisfaction, underscoring the event’s ability to cater to a wide range of tastes and preferences.

Local businesses experienced a significant boon from the event, with 100% reporting very satisfied responses regarding their participation. An outstanding 100% of businesses indicated an increase in sales compared to a typical Saturday, highlighting the event’s effectiveness in driving foot traffic and sales. Furthermore, all but one business reported an increase in sales compared to last year’s event, confirming the event’s upward trajectory in success and community impact.
