A Walk Through Downtown

We took a walk through Downtown Excelsior Springs and decided to share some of the moments we captured and what they mean for the growth of downtown. While it’s a scary and even sad time for us all, we can still see the amazing future we will have. And we thought a little bit of humor sharing wouldn’t hurt either….

Did you know we have axe throwing coming to Downtown Excelsior Springs??? While we are all on the Stay At Home Order, these folks, in partnership with Dubious Claims Brewing Co. have been busy getting their new space ready. Check out the progress they are making on building the throwing lanes!

Who doesn’t love that spring is “springing”? We are loving the pops of color being added to the streets of downtown right now! We can’t wait until the orders are lifted and we can all get together for a spring planting day!

With the Stay At Home Order, you can still enjoy one of our beautiful park settings! We stopped and took a moment to enjoy the scenery at the new Brooke Baxter Memorial Park.

You saw it last week, too! This space is being transformed into the new home of Campbell Wood Designs! Make sure to check out their page and follow along with their journey.

We had a new business join us in downtown, just a week before our new “normal” began. It’s an amazing shop called Knit Ewe Together. Check them out on Facebook and consider ordering some products from their new online shop.

Grace Wins is coming Summer of 2020! And with our current situation, we’re all going to be coming back stronger than ever in Summer of 2020! Show love and support local when you can! Our downtown business community needs you now more than ever!

Last, but not least, we couldn’t help but see the humor in this sign available at Bliss. The struggle is real for all of us, but sometimes we just need to see the humor in things and smile through the difficult times. We’re ready for that fairy to wave her magic wand and allow us to continue making Downtown Excelsior Springs a place we can EXPERIENCE, EXPLORE and ENJOY again!
