How to Submit Pictures
Join the 2023 BBQ Team Scavenger Hunt Facebook Group here, then the game begins! We ask that your first post be the first item on the scavenger hunt clues list – a team photo (please note your BBQ TEAM NAME in the caption). From there, please submit ALL other photos as a comment on your original team photo to make determining our winner a smooth process.

Each completed clue in this category is worth 5 points, unless stated otherwise.
- The easiest points you can get all weekend… send in a picture of your favorite BBQ Team!
- A picture of the largest purchase you made in Downtown Excelsior Springs! Top three receipts will receive 50 points, 40 points, and 30 points respectively.
- A picture of a receipt as close to $20.00 as you can! 25 points.
- A picture with a BBQ & Fly-In on the River Committee member.
- A picture with a BBQ team from a different state.
- Check out VisitExcelsior.com, go to Annual Events, submit a screenshot of which event you would most likely attend.
- Snap a picture of the BBQ & Fly-In on the River page in the Experience Excelsior Trip Planner.
- Have you met the man that started this event 23 years ago? Take a picture with Jim!
- Convince a Whiskey Walk attendee to take a selfie with you!
- Can you find the mural with the butterflies? Snap a pic and get 15 points.
