DEP Launches “Shop Local Late” Thursday Nights

Something Special Is Happening Downtown After 5:00 PM!

Starting Thursday, May 1, Downtown Excelsior Springs will come alive after 5:00 PM with the launch of Shop Local Late, a new downtown initiative that invites residents and visitors alike to enjoy a vibrant, evening shopping experience every Thursday in May and June.

19 of your favorite local shops, restaurants, tasting rooms and galleries will be staying open until at least 7:00 PM (and some event later), offering extended hours, exclusive in-store promotions, pop-up activities, giveaways, themed nights, live music, and more! It’s all designed to give you one more reason to love Downtown Excelsior Springs after hours!

From sipping wine and trying new brews to browsing the latest spring arrivals in boutiques, pampering yourself with goodies, or finding a unique gift just because, Shop Local Late is your chance to explore the charm of Downtown in a whole new way!

“This isn’t just a marketing campaign, this is our small businesses stepping up for the community,” said Lyndsey Baxter, Executive Director of the Downtown Excelsior Partnership, Inc. “The demand for extended hours as been growing and our merchants have come together to deliver an experience that’s fun and entertaining, and we hope it grows into an evening culture in downtown.”
