A celebration of Excelsior’s past, present and future, Waterfest is one of the largest festivals of the year. This festival features vendors, live music, celebrity guests, contests, kids games, fireworks, food, a beer garden and so much more. Read More

Annual Pancake Breakfast

Gregg Williams Tiger Classic Golf Tournament

From all across the Midwest, over 60 competitive smoke-cooking teams turn out for Excelsior Springs’ sanctioned BBQ & Fly-In on the River competition. Bill Payne Halloween
October 31, 2018

Downtown merchants provide goodies to Trick-or-Treaters starting at 4 p.m. up until costume judging at the Hall of Waters for the Bill Payne Halloween costume awards, 6:15 p.m. Children march in a parade following the Excelsior Springs fire truck to the Clay-Ray Veterans Hall and are treated with hot dogs and drinks to end the safe trick-or-treat evening. The Lane of Lights transforms East Valley Park into an enchanting glowing forest. Admission to the Lane of Lights is free, however a donation is appreciated. Open mid-November through the end of the year. Read More

Located around the Hall of Waters water bar, over 30 Christmas trees are uniquely decorated by community businesses and civic groups. The trees are on display through mid-November to the end of the year and are a must see. Read More

For more than 60 years, football fans have gathered for the annual Mineral Water Bowl. The Mineral Water Bowl is now one of two Division II bowl games affiliated with the MIAA.
