Join the community for a dazzling kickoff to the holiday season as the Mayor flips the switch to light up Downtown Excelsior Springs! With sparkling lights, festive decor, and Christmas music, this event is the perfect way to start your holiday celebrations and experience the magic of the season!
Come early and enjoy live Christmas music with Beatz DJ and a choir performance by the local 4th and 5th grade students on Broadway in front of the Hall of Waters.
There’s nothing quite like seeing our historic streets come alive with glowing floats, music, and the holiday spirit! Join us for Excelsior Springs’ greatest parade! Be amazed by the twinkling lights and floats as they roll through downtown in our annual Lighted Christmas Parade. It’s a holiday tradition that brings together families, friends, and the whole community to celebrate the season in style. Don’t miss the grand finale float featuring a special holiday guest, or two!

A Sparkling Drive Through Holiday Display
Gather your family, hop in the car, and cruise through a dazzling lane of holiday lights! From whimsical displays to classic holiday scenes, the Lane of Lights is a must see attraction that brings the magic of the season to life. Perfect for all ages, this drive through experience will leave you feeling festive and bright!
There is a suggested $5 – $10 donation and those funds are shared between the Excelsior Springs Christmas Committee and the night’s hosting group. It’s the perfect start to an evening or an even better way to cap it off.

Step into a winter wonderland this December at The Tavern at The Elms Hotel & Spa as it transforms into Jingle & Mingle at The Elms, a festive Christmas pop-up bar bursting with holiday cheer!
November 22nd through January 3rd, every Thursday through Sunday from 5:30PM–11PM, immerse yourself in twinkling lights, over-the-top décor, and holly jolly specialty cocktails that sparkle with Christmas magic. From winter martinis to gingerbread lattes, every sip will put you on the nice list.
Tickets are $30 per person for a 75-minute reservation, with $20 of your ticket price applied directly toward food & beverage purchases.
