Excelsior Springs Parks and Recreation

A Department within the City of Excelsior Springs offering several parks, miles of trails, a variety of recreational programs, and a community center with unique offerings for ALL.

Enjoy the many parks, playgrounds and trails throughout Excelsior Springs! Notable parks include family-friendly Sunnyside Park for picnics and play; Isley Park Woods, a Missouri Natural Area; and Get-Fit Park with ADA-accessible equipment. Our latest addition is our Century Bark Dog Park, located adjacent to Century Park with Powell Lake offering catch-release fishing.

Fishing River Linear Park in the historic downtown features a walking trail along the river, ball diamond, basketball hoops and playground. It backs to the Hall of Waters and downtown shopping district and is a short walk from The Elms Hotel & Spa. Fishing River Linear Park Trail, Isley Park Woods Trail and Siloam Mountain Trail provide great opportunities to see local fauna and flora, an original stone mineral water pagoda and restored park pagoda.

Tucked into the downtown are two pocket parks in the Historic Hall of Waters District, a butterfly park on Thompson and Concourse and a park with a stage for live entertainment located at Broadway and Marietta.
